Dear Players:
PUBG MOBILE's official team is dedicated to bringing you a fair gaming environment, and we are taking specific measures against players who actively try to team up with cheaters to increase their score. This FAQ will answer common questions about what group w/ cheaters involves and the associated penalties, in order to help players better understand, identify and report them.
Q: What does group w/ cheaters mean and why is it harmful?
A: It refers to the behavior of repeatedly joining a cheater's team.Players who participate in group w/ cheaters do so in order to climb their own ranks with the help of the cheaters.
Group w/ cheaters can be harmful in many ways.First, the cheater of the group makes the game unfair and detracts from other players' gaming experience. Second, players who actively try to team up with cheaters encourage the use of cheats, which is why we penalize such behaviors and encourage players to report them.
Q: How is group w/ cheaters identified?
A: A variety of data is taken into account, including the number of times that a cheater has been reported, player data trends and video review results. The behavior of a cheater's teammates is analyzed, and appropriate penalties handed out to players who participate in group w/ cheaters.
Q: Will I have my account banned, rewards deducted, or be placed under observation if group w/ cheaters behavior is detected?
A: Player behavior and data is analyzed in aggregate. You will not be punished for inadvertently teaming up with a cheater from time to time, but repeatedly and actively teaming up with a cheater will result in penalties.Penalties may include deduction of rewards, clearance of tier score, and account bans. The penalty for repeated group w/ cheaters behaviors depend on the circumstances. In general, the penalty will increase with the number of violations, as well as for severe violations.
Q: Is the observation period for group w/ cheaters the same as the normal safety observation period?
A: No. Players under observation for group w/ cheaters will only have their rewards deducted or halved, whereas players in the normal observation period for suspicious behavior will have restrictions placed on matching, in addition to losing half or all of their rewards.
Q: I didn't know I was teaming up with a cheater. Why was I banned?
A: There are consequences for trying to take advantage from invalid behaviors.Do not trust people who claim they can "help you win easily" or "increase your score with technology".If you suspect a teammate of cheating, please report them and avoid teaming up with them again.
Q: I was matched up with a cheater via Find a match. Will I be punished for group w/ cheaters?
A: No. Players will not be banned from occasionally being matched up with a cheater in random matching. However, you will be penalized for repeatedly and intentionally teaming up with a cheater.
Q: How can I avoid being accidentally identified as group w/ cheaters?
A: You should leave the match and/or return to Lobby as soon as possible if a teammate claims to be cheating, or if you have suspicions that they are cheating. The longer you stay in the same team as a cheater, the more likely you will be penalized. The following behavior may be signs of cheating:
1. Eliminating a large number of enemies outside normal field of view in a short period of time.
2. Abnormally fast movement speed.
3. Surviving lethal damage (e.g. AWM headshots.)
4. Eliminate enemies through walls.
We recommend that you use the Report button on the Results Screen at the end of a match, or through your Career Results, to report a player that is cheating. You can view your report results in Security Zone -> Report Results.
PUBG MOBILE team will continue to work hard to provide the best gaming experience for all players, and we have a zero-tolerance policy toward cheats and malicious exploits.Thank you for following the rules and ensuring that everyone can enjoy a fair gaming environment.
